The Book of Yum

The Book of Yum

A gorgeous meal in great company. A warm afternoon of lazy love making.

A long walk in the woods that leaves you relaxed, tingling and nourished to your core…

Moments where we feel ourselves part of life in all its glory, nourished by a field that is much more than just a pleasurable experience.

This is Yum in action.

This book shares many, many flavours of Yum to remind you of your sensual and soul-fuelled pleasures. And it invites you to delight in them!

It shows that even science tells us that Yum is essential.

And it offers practices to cherish the full spectrum of life in the simplest of experiences. Even in the midst of big storms.

A book with a white cover and the word Yum. in a light golden tan colour stands on a white table, with a plant to its left and a wooden beam in the background, giving the impression that it's in a cosy attic.

This book is a soothing balm for the soul – relaxing, pleasurable, and delightfully inspiring. It’s the perfect resource to turn to whenever I long for a deeper connection with myself, to source, and to the ordinary magic present in my days, just waiting to be discovered.”

– Corinne Konrad Calder

I have been enjoying reading the book of YUM so much. I do not want it to end! It is a joyful book full of little treasures, heart warming stories, inviting pictures and little yum moments. All of this in itself is already yum to indulge in, but more importantly it awakened a renewed awareness and appreciation for the little things that are just so important and precious. The book helps me slow down and breath out. It is the perfect present for the holiday season!”

Why this book?

As trainer team in the Academy for Soul-based Coaching, we have come to know the quality of Yum well. And we realise how lucky we are, because Yum accompanies our work.

It just shows up in the fabric of our coaching sessions (and there is science that explains this – and explains the power Soul-based Coaching has when it comes to embodied and lasting change).

In every Soul-based Coaching training and retreat, we end by asking people one word for what the session brought them. Often people say things like ‘depth’, ’inspiration’ and ‘connection’. But the word we have heard most in the last seven years is ‘Yummm’.

But of course you don’t need to engage in Soul-based Coaching to enjoy Yum and its inherent benefits! That’s why we wrote this book.

Yum is your birthright.

Practising Yum is a much needed antidote to overwhelm, fear and stress that are part of living (especially in this world of late-stage capitalism in polycrisis).
