Soul, Money and Truth

by | May 19, 2018

Something really important is brewing, and it is touching everything I do. It goes right to the core of why I am here, and why you are here.

Let’s start with this:

I am really grateful to be alive in these times. We are witnessing so many opportunities for growth. So many parts of ourselves and our societies that are outdated. That have become too tight, too constricted, or simply outlived their usefulness. We are facing major opportunities to start recognising our truth, and the power and responsibility that comes with it. Are you feeling that too?

This is at the heart of soul-based transformation. Personal transformation and collective transformation. The potential for an experience of life that is better, deeper, more aligned and for the benefit of all.

Injustice is showing itself more and more clearly in our societies. The awareness of institutionalised racism is rising, including the fact that we need to stop ignoring the lived experience of people of colour. Or actually: all people who do not share our personal sense of our identity in race, sexual orientation, health status, gender, the amount of money we own, status we have, the size we are, or our age. And that too, is offering big opportunities. Uncomfortable at times, yes. Complex, yes. But there is a momentum building that is calling in more and more people to step out of their trance, out of what they settle for out of habit. And that is super exciting.

We are the creators of our lives, and our world. Together, that is what we build, with every action and every non-action.

However you look at it, your personal journey or our collective one, you are called to step up to a next level.

You could choose to stay in overwhelm, or deny the things that seem too hard, thinking that they don’t concern you or there is just no way for them to change.

Or, you can decide: yes, it is time for me to engage – with whatever your personal truth is telling you. The discomfort you feel, and the longings that stir in you.

To open up to the discomfort of maybe not knowing how to do anything about it.

To feeling the feelings that are attached to it. (~ i.e. To keep breathing and being present to those feelings.)

And to start exploring.

Even if it is ‘just’ to live in the questions of ‘how could this be better?’ (your own stuff, or the collective), ‘how can we start to become more inclusive?’ (for the questions of our community), ‘what is a step I can take that will help me find a way?’ (again, for your own stuff or the collective).

Two excellent places to start your exploration are:

Your relationship with money. Money is a powerful energy in our world. When it’s not flowing in as you would like, it has massive impact on your personal well-being and possibilities. And when it is flowing in abundantly, you have more ease in your life, but you also gain possibilities to influence what happens in the world, by choosing how you exercise your financial power (Cheap slave labour clothes made of fabric drenched in pesticides? Local organic food? Sponsoring a bank heavily involved in financing armed conflict? Supporting small scale initiatives or investing in companies involved in green energy technologies? Lots of ways we can influence what happens. More money to spend or invest simply means more influence.)

It doesn’t matter what exactly you would like from your relationship with money. You don’t have to want to change the world, that can just be me 🙂 But you can take the step to reset your relationship with money.

Just ask yourself: how do I feel about money? Is it a friend? Does it support you in bringing your gifts into the world? In doing what wants to be brought forward by you? If it’s not, come join our powerful free workshop, so that the two of you can start fresh, and you can create a new way of beng together. If money is a friend for you, the workshop can help you deepen your relationship. It will be well worth your time, because you will change your ‘money operating system’, the way you are with money in every sense.

And when you do, you it is so much easier to take your place in life. To do what you feel called to do. To bring your valuable gifts into the world and be met with good financial return. So that you can live with ease and are an even more powerful force of good 🙂

Simply put: is money the reason why you are not yet earning money as a (Soul-based) coach? Then do what you can to join us.

And if you want to educate yourself on institutionalised racism and the way it plays out in the spiritual and self-development circles, I highly recommend this article by Torrie Pattillo. It is long, but it will give you a very good starting point. And if you think: that does not concern me: chances are that your skin is white, and you can afford to ignore this issue, because you have something referred to as white privilege. One of the defining characteristics of institutionalised racism, is that people of colour cannot choose to not be aware of it. It is playing out continuously and it is harmful. Becoming aware of how this is your responsibility too, how unfair that may seem to you, (because no, you are not a bad person), is part of collectively addressing this dynamic. Other great resources are this article by Margo Stebbing and the writings of spiritual teacher Layla Saad.

See, our soul wants us to recognise our truth. It wants us to take the next steps.

Because that is what it is here for. It is what you are here for.

Follow the thread that lights up with the importance that you feel in your gut, and the truth it brings you.

Even if you can’t see where the thread will lead you.

Your soul knows what is important for you.

And this is what leads to true fulfillment.

Much love,
Annemiek

Love that you are here! It’s a pleasure to share what I’ve learned in 25 yrs of coaching and teaching coaches since 2006. At the Academy for Soul-based Coaching, the team and me have reached 1000s of coaches, therapists and healers, helping them have phenomenal, embodied results.

On a personal note, I’m a bi-sexual, perimenopausal (read sleep-deprived) self-anointed Priestess who craves the spiritual as much as I do the practical, connecting seeming opposites in true Gemini style – and that is about all I know about astrology.
